DIY Wedding Flowers



	Every day I have brides or mothers of the bride and bridesmaids call me that need items for the DIY items that they are making for the wedding, the first thing people say is “do you sell that type of thing to the public?” Well yes I do I actually encourage brides if they want to DIY their flowers or other items and I am happy to offer no only the products you need to do it but any assistance along the way. Anything you need just let me know. And when you are finished just email me a picture with a plain background and I can add it to the gallery that will be started at the bottom of this page for all my DIY brides, mums and bridesmaids. There is plenty out there.

Loose flowers Firstly any of the flowers you see on my website are available to buy as loose flowers for you to use in your bouquets, just contact me for a price of each item. please keep in mind that when I buy in stock however I have to buy in lots of 12,24 or 48 in most cases in one colour so if you want one of this and two of that and one of this, that may not always be an option as I can be left with lots of flowers over but in some cases this is not a problem. So it is prefered if you order in whole boxed amounts or certainly enough to be worth while getting in for you. Just ask for what you are looking for and how many you think you will need and we can go from there.

Parafilm tape white or green, $4 each roll. an average wedding will use 1 roll.

to use parafilm tape you need to stretch the tape out until it is transparent and at the same time twirl down the wires in your other hand between your thumb and forefinger to coat the wire securely with the parafilm tape.

do not leave parafilm tape in a hot car or place.

Corsage and buttonhole brooch pins, $1 each

they are the easiest way to get your buttonholes and corsages to stay put, simply make up your buttonhole or corsage with a stem about 3cm long and parafilm tape this to the back of the corsage or buttonhole behind the greenery, it not only will hold everything together more securely but will be an easy way for everyone to attach their buttonhole or corsage, pearl headed pins for attaching are very difficult.

green coated florist wire, available in 9” or 18” for bridal bouquets 9” is the just the right length in most cases. 22g this is very thin good for tying off bows etc, 20g this is a medium thickness good for wiring flowers for heavy flowers use two stems of wire, 18g is a thick wire good for very heavy flowers or making the framework for fairywands etc. cost, wire bundle approx 50 lengths 9” $4. wire bundle approx 50 lenghts 18” $7.

quality pearl headed pins for finishing off your ribbons etc 18c each,

please note this is not the cheaper version of these pins that are around.

Plastic diamante pins for finishing off your ribbons or placing in the middle of flowers 18c each.

Do you have a gluegun you have bought from a hardware store or lincraft this is the matching glue for the wider sized glue of a hot glue gun, approx 1cm wide this is about 25cm long and each glue lasts for ages gives a clear glue not a yellow glue at the other end and is just 50c each length

dont pay $8 per packet for the short ones from the craft shop any more.

10x10x10 glass or ceramic pots, $4.50 each, please check with me as to what is available with the importer at the time sometimes they run low on stock. also they are quite weighty to post but are not overly priced for 14 pots to Sydney will be about $25 registered post. sometimes available in other colours such as black, green just let me know what you are after. there is other size vases and pots I can get too.

	small wicker basket for flowergrl, you can paint these or wrap the handle in ribbon, glue flowers around the edge for a petal basket or glue oasis in the middle and fill with flowers, petite basket (pictured and most suited to most flowergirls) $8.90 each, large size for bigger/older flowergirls $12.50 each

dry foam fibreglass for using with artificial flowers, each brick is similar in size to a house brick to start with and you can cut it down either in half, 1/3, 1/6 or use it whole to do many different floral arrangments, it will not break down or break apart as easy like the fresh flower one does. Higher quality than the one you buy at your local cheapy/craft shop $4 per brick.

If you are doing fresh flowers you need the foam for the fresh flowers that soak up water I can get this for you also it is $4 per brick

Ribbon sold by the roll or by the metre is available in just about any thickness or anycolour, available is, quality double faced satin, satin edged organza and organza. Satins come in 3mm, 8mm, 15mm, 25mm, 35mm, and 50mm. satin edged organzas vary from 12mm, 35mm, and organzas vary from 12mm, 35mm

the cost will vary depending on the brand I need for the colour you are after and the width ribbon you are wanting, in most cases people want to buy as a whole roll and this works out cheaper than buying by the Metre. a whole roll will vary from $4 to $60 just depends on the item you are after.
